Job Description
The primary role of this profile would be managing the Database, maintaining & helping the programmers to utilize the database in a n efficient way.
Responsibilities:
* Creating and Testing Backups, performance analysis and tuning, and some database design.
* Helping programmers to efficiently utilize the database.
* Understand and take requirements / tasks from the client / reporting manager, as applicable.
* Verifying or helping to verify data integrity .
* Defining and/or implementing access controls to the data. This involves adding and removing users.
* Ensuring maximum uptime .
* Create and update the documents of the databases maintained by him/her.
* Communicate to the client / his reporting manager about the progress of tasks assigned, as applicable.
Desired Candidate Profile
Work Experience:
* 1year of experience in managing multiple SQL databases. (MS-SQL/DB2)
* Programming skills - 1 to 1.5 years of programming on T-SQL
Other Requirements:
* Logical and problem solving skills
* Attention to detail
* Quality orientation
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Task and deadline orientation
* Ability to handle pressure
* Ability to get along with the team
