An exciting opportunity for a Software Test Engineer to work for an International Software house in it's Malad office in Mumbai.
Desired Candidate Profile:

We propose the right candidate the position of Testing and Quality Assurance Engineer. You will work in close co-ordination with the development team based in Europe. You will verify and validate the software produced by the development team. You will be expected to set-up various test environment including appropriate operating system(s), relational databases, or communication systems to ensure that the software is thoroughly tested before release. You are expected to actively contribute towards improving the testing and QA methodology.
You will report to a the team Manager based in Mumbai and will stay in touch on a daily basis with the whole development team based in Europe to report software bugs or missing functionalities. You will be expected to qualify the compliance of software features with technical specifications document provided.
You must have at least one experience of working in each of the following area:
- Partition creation in order to install differents version of Windows
- Windows installation (Win 98, NT, 2000, XP, 2003...)
- Service configuration (SMTP, FTP...)
- Email software configuration (Lotus, Exchange...)
- Network configuration (VPN, router, IP...)
- Programming skills (VB, VBA, C, Java...)
- Database skills (SQL, database administration...)
- Windows security (Active directory, folders rights...)
- Manual Testing

You have good communication skills in English, both written and verbal and also excellent interpersonal skills. You will have a batchelors or equivalent degree in Computing. Your ability to be a good team player and work independently will help you grow in our organization. A good understanding of test engineering lifecycle, and design or automation, is a key factor for success. Software development knowledge will be an added advantage.You can expect complete support from your manager and other people you interact with to enable you to fulfill your responsibilities. The management is dedicated towards the business and especially its employees, making sure of excellent working conditions and infrastructure. You can expect your remuneration to be as per industry standard.
